About Green Flips
How It Works
Green Flips monitors the Grand Exchange in real time, scanning thousands of items every 61 seconds to find profitable flip opportunities. Items are scored using a velocity-weighted system that considers margin, volume, ROI, and historical confidence to surface the best trades.
Each item is evaluated across multiple trading profiles, from quick safe flips on consumables to overnight holds on high-value gear, so you can find opportunities that match your playstyle and bankroll.
Data Source
All price and volume data comes from the OSRS Wiki Real-time Prices API, which aggregates transaction data from RuneLite clients. This gives us accurate, crowd-sourced pricing updated every few minutes.
Historical data is stored locally and used for trend analysis, anomaly detection, and confidence scoring over 30+ day windows.
Scoring & Ratings
Every opportunity gets a star rating (1-5) based on a composite score that weighs:
- Margin & ROI: raw profit potential after the 1% GE tax
- Volume: how quickly items trade, ensuring you can actually complete the flip
- Volatility: price stability so you're not caught in a crash
- Historical confidence: how the current margin compares to the item's 30-day average
AI Analysis
Logged-in users can request on-demand AI analysis for any item. The AI evaluates current prices against historical patterns, volume trends, and market context to give a BUY or AVOID verdict with reasoning.
Daily investment picks are generated once per day using a multi-factor pipeline. Items are pre-filtered, scored mathematically, then optionally re-ranked by AI for a final curated list.
Trading Profiles
Safe Flips
High-volume consumables (50 - 50K GP). Quick flips on arrows, potions, food, and runes.
Overnight Flips
Mid to high-value items (500K - 100M GP). Set your offers and check back later.
High Value
Expensive gear and weapons (1M - 200M GP). Big margins, lower volume.
Pump Detection
Detects unusual coordinated buying pressure on low-value items.
Dump Detection
Detects bot farm dumps and unusual selling pressure.
